Hi MOOvers! I have two daughters (8 & 6) and two sons (3 & 0), a husband, and a puppy. We have lived here in Canberra all of our lives. We love music and movement in our house. In fact, it is often our saving grace when all else fails! Our family and friends share our passion too. Whenever possible, we try to get to concerts, ballets, and activities involving music, movement, or just getting out of the house and away from the screens. We are also quite fond of a good sporting event.

What to expect at Moo

Maggie Moo Music offers great fun and interactive regular Music & Movement sessions for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance and play. Music is an essential part of every child’s development and the 125 original Moo Music songs used at the sessions are positive, uplifting, fun and educational.

The interactive sessions will help your child gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way. It’s also a great way to make new friends – both for the children and the adults too!

Children also love Messy Moo and so do parents/carers who don’t have to clean up! Children can use their imagination and get messy with a range of different materials and textures, making it a fun, multi-sensory experience. We get wet, slimey, or covered in paint. We crunch, squeeze, or find things in different materials.

These hour-long sessions provide a great opportunity for children to learn through unstructured play. They promote sensory explorations, foster imagination, enhance colour recognition, encourage experiments and create a positive attitude towards new experiences. Most importantly, babies and children get to explore the messy stations while listening to our educational Maggie Moo Music, which further enhances their learning experience!

What are people saying about Maggie Moo Music Tuggeranong?

We all had a wonderful time, the babies loved the dancing, props and actions to go along with the songs. It was also a great kick off for the party and the grandparents loved watching.

Mobile Moo, April 2023

Clare ran a messy play session for my daughter and 4 friends – all who were celebrating their upcoming 2nd birthday. She had great communication, set up 6 fun activities, and cleaned everything up – all for a very reasonable price! I highly recommend using Messy Moo for any kid’s party 🙂

Mobile Moo, November 2022

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for last week… it was so much fun and she really enjoyed herself. You do such a fantastic job.

Messy Moo, December 2021

Thank you for the Messy Moo session! We had a great time exploring (and getting really messy). We are looking forward to next term!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring siblings to any session, even if they don’t fit within the session age range?

Absolutely! Siblings are welcome at all sessions. It is usually better to book in for the session that suits your oldest child, but each situation is different. Please let me know if you aren’t sure which class will be best or if you have any questions, including whether you need to book for your littlest or if you need to bring an older sibling (over 5yrs) to the session.

Can I book alternate or selected sessions?

Yes, just select the dates you can attend and book tickets for these sessions. This may be an option if you have a preschool aged child who goes to school every second week, or you may have the children with you every other week/weekend. Whatever the situation I am more than happy to help you choose an arrangement that will work for you.

I would like to do a trial first, can I book in for the rest of the term after that?

Certainly can (Music & Movement sessions only). I completely understand about trying something new first before committing for more. Term special prices will be reduced pro rata for each session that has passed. Trial sessions are unavailable for our Moo ‘n’ Brew sessions at this stage – this is to ensure as much consistency for the members of the facility as possible.

Can I join any time during a term?

Yes. If there is a space available in your desired session, you can join at any time. Term booking prices are pro rata. For Music & Movement sessions, you can also attend a trial (first time only) or a casual session.

I’m unsure about attending a Mixed Moo session, how will the different ages be managed?

Mixed Moo is actually the original Moo Music experience! We would never want you to feel uncomfortable or worried about your child in our sessions. Actions, props and activities are suited for the ages represented in the session. A mixed age session can be really great for developing personal and social skills as the children interact with (or simply watch) one another. If you have any specific questions, however, please do get in touch.
